AN UPCLOSE LOOK AT THE GAMEBOY COLOR FOOT CONTROLLER:

Essentially the foot controller is just a breakout box for the buttons of the gameboy. All this work just to send the switches to your foot! The GBC mod is fairly simple, no external circuit is required. The buttons, the power, and the prosound are all sent to the breakout box. The DB9 output on the side of the breakout box is for an NES controller. That’s a fairly simple mod to do as well, but i lost the damn thing so there are no pictures. The purpose for the external NES controller was so i could still compose while the foot controller was set up. You can see in the pictures that the original buttons on the gameboy don’t work anymore because i glued them to the outer casing. After all is said and done, any old keyboard sustain pedal can be plugged into the breakout box. If anyone tries to build one of these, feel free to email me. Hopefully these pictures will help.
